Yeah like the original Birth of a Nation used race. Shameful!! History people and context, "Fences" is a 33 year old play brought to the screen about a family in the 1950's. The family was written as black people, but the subject is universal, fathers and son, marriage and relationships.

Don't try to explain, because they really don't care. Instead of actually finding out about the story, they'd rather knee-jerk their ignorant reactions here on this page, while remaining anonymous. You see that after a day, neither of those fools have replied to you. Trying to educate the willfully ignorant is an exercise in futility.
