In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

why do you think "they're" introducing face recognition and things these days?

An online dictionary will be available for hackers in years to come, thus making security very hard. So "they" are trying to move away from alphabetical and numeric combinations, and finding ways for it to be impossible to be hacked.

"I" dont know what "you're" talking about.

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

I blame the hackers.

The arseword system?

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

Do you remember the old IMDB account hack trick? Pretty sure you discovered it.

My Ser Trevor McDonald sock had a year 2000 join date .

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

She did! She and klam had to walk me through doing that more than once lol.

I think that really pressed off the site but they sucked at security

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

I never actually did it myself. A good samaritan gave me that account.

Quite a lot of weird hacking and tomfoolery went on at IMDB, often at the expense of Harry from the video games board.

Good times!

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

Lol I've never heard of harry! What happened?

I miss those times. It was like the wild west

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

There’s someone else around these parts who could comment on this with much more detail and I wouldn’t want to do a disservice.

I don’t think he’ll comment, but you never know

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

Lol I'm more intrigued than ever now. I hope they decide to humor us and tell the story!

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

The thing is, Harry is the most blatant troll ever, who really deserves everything he gets. I was trolling him on Reddit recently after I revived Halo Sniper Kid and I got an extremely angry email from Reddit warning me of harassment and basically saying if it continues I’ll be alerted to the authorities or some shit.

The topic they linked to had halo asking people what they were mainly doing during lockdown with halo saying he was mainly doing ‘Harry’s mom’ 😂.

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

Reddit is getting so soft

Lol i always forget you were halo sniper kid! He was awesome

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

This is fucking Harry for you

Wooooooow. That guy had problems lol

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

I’m pretty sure he’s ok with me posting this

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

That's truly magnificent!

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

Was that the one where you could end up using a dormant account?

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

Aye, it involved looking up ancient IMDb reviews and stealing their account.

Lol

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

Lol indeed.

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

Yeah, if they had a hotmail. And you could just go to old reviews and it had people's hotmails listed right under their usernames. I think hotmail was switching over to yahoo (or something, i can't remember) and then you didn't need the password to sign in. Then boom bam, sign into the old imdb account lol. I think that's how it worked. I only did it a couple times when i got banned

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

So you would just login by entering the username and email address?

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

I think you had to get into the email to change the passwords. That's how i remember doing it. And you didn't need the passwords to the email because they were switching over and you could recover it. I think they were mostly abandoned because they were so old

I'm pretty sure that's how it worked but frtt would explain better/correct me

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

Someone emailed me exactly how to do it way back in the day.

I saved the steps to an MS Word document that I can probably find in an old laptop .

I have so much random, retarded IMDb stuff in one place or another 😂

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

Lol i remember frtt telling me how to do it and since I'm the worst with computer shit she had to walk me threw it twice. I still didn't get it but i knew i couldn't keep bugging her so i asked klam and after that i got it. But that was years ago and I've forgotten now.

I have so much hilarious, weird, and random crap saved on a broken laptop. I need to get it fixed one day so i can share it.

Re: In years to come we won't be using passwords or codes online

Likely, but the computer security industry will also improve their methods of protection and layered encryption making it harder for hackers and scammers to access data.
