The Walking Dead : The Phenomenon of Bowling

The Phenomenon of Bowling

It's like, are we really sure we understand this thing. It has long roots, I'm sure. You know, it's become quite the fascinating subject as the sport has evolved, but it comes from way further back. Like, not just in terms of chronological time, but in our pysche. It's not obvious to me what evolutionary purpose it serves, which is what is so interesting. There's a pathology about it.

There are numerous bowl variants, too. It's not always just about hitting the pins. You know, the Jungian archetype of the flick of the wrister, I mean, that's as old as time, right? There's certainly a correlation there, and I think for some people, you know, these people aren't necessarily evil, but they're also not exactly good, right, so these people enjoy the flickery and the defeat. For Jung, this was a creature using it as a defense.

I think this is almost certainly the most interesting area of sports in the 21st century. I would invite any grad student to pursue this sport if they want to bring something new to the world.

No, look, really, this isn't a problem. You know, I don't consider the content here necessarily worth protecting. This is just, maybe, I think I'd say, this isn't even Twitter.

Who is this, anyways? Jacqueline? I sent through an email earlier, about the calls I was getting, but I haven't heard anything back. So, if somebody could perhaps do that, that would be good. Thank you.

Re: The Phenomenon of Bowling

Nimda told me he was invited to an advanced screening of the season3 finale and he wrote read below:

It looks like Bee ends up relenting and Bentley slips away from the remaining group and goes back and beheads ballz with his sword. Again, very anticlimactic in this scene. However the episode ends with our survivors walking into a long field with the sunset beaming down on them. Rick then holds Herschel's hand and gives him a slight sympathetic smile, with Carl, Tyreese and the remaining survivors following. Now this last scene was not anticlimactic but in fact very satisfying.

That's a zinger!

Re: The Phenomenon of Bowling

I thought you were going to talk about the Phenomenon of Trolling.
But I don't know anything about that, either.

Typically, one must go to a bowling ally to meet a person of your stature.

😺 Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't. 🤨 Let's go, Brandon! 🤨 Try that in a small town.

I do a much better Gielgud than that!

Fair enough, carry on.
