Does anyone else think it is strange that the Enterprise crew left poor Jeremy all by himself after his mother died? He was in his cabin alone, with no one to take care if him.

I honestly don't remember this episode and I am a TNG fan. Of course I am old and that could have something to do with it lol What I do remember did he not go with Worf?

but the op was right, a child left alone in the cabin he shared with his now deceased mother seems like child abuse.
