Casino Scams to warch out for!

The "I just lost all my money, and I'm hungry. I just need 5 points to get a burger meal. Can I use my Player's Club Card in your machine to get a burger meal?" Scam. A single guy fell for this when an attractive and innocent looking woman who seened really sweet asked him this. He let her put her card in his machine while he played. Lo and behold, he got a Jackpot and all of a sudden she stopped being nice and claimed that he owed her that Jackpot since it happened with her card in the machine. Unfortunately, the Casino took HER side since on the Cameras it looked like they were playing together. I'd be willing to bet, pun intended I guess that he never let anyone put their card in his machine again after he got burned being nice.

The "Too nice," scam where they plop down next to complete strangers and start amicably chatting away. They then get suddenly nasty in an attempt to steal a TITO. I'll tell an example of this. A guy said he was playing Slots one day and a burly man and an attractive woman begun playing slots and despite having like $100 each in the Slots were literally each playing one penny(The guy thought that this was odd as hell) a spin and chatted up an elderly woman suddenly, asking her personal questions such as if she had any Grandkids, how long she played in that Casino and where she was from… Then the male suddenly got aggressive towards her, getting up and basically sitting in her damn lap(Basically, he was WAY too close to her for comfort and begun saying something like,"I oughta kick your ass right now." Understandably, the elderly woman was unnerved and just wanted to leave. She pressed "Cash out," and looked at the way too close man while the attractive woman stole the TITO in a split second.

Suddenly, the male wasn't interested in being so close to the elderly woman and he and his female accomplice left the area. When the elderly woman looked for her TITO, she wanted to cry when she realized that her TITO had been stolen. The guy playing near her called Management to report the theft and confirmed the elderly lady was robbed. Management checked the TITO whereabouts and all they could say was that it was cashed out like two minutes later. Unfortunately, the Crooks weren't stupid enough to keep playing like some completely stupid crooks have done. The elderly woman was told she was out of luck since they took the money and ran off tbe property. They were much smarter than some stupid woman who stole a TITO and put it in another Slot and played like an idiot. She was playing like an idiot when the original Player(Who was a long time and highly loyal high Roller) asked Management to track the TITO. Needless to say, she was banned for life after being forced to give him back the unplayed money. The money she had already gambled away was given back to him in free play.

The "Where is the bathroom?" Scam is one to watch out for. A guy approaches you at a TITO machine around the time where you are pressing "Dispense," and askes you where the bathroom is. You turn to point at the direction of the bathroom to help him out and in those few seconds he steals your money, thanks you and starts running. You wonder why your money hasn't come out. That's right. Your good hearted gesture got you robbed… In hindsight you would realize that a guy asking a random Gambler for the bathroom and not a Casino Staff Member for help was a red flag.

The "Touch screen/machine," scam is a scam to watch out for. A complete stranger touches your screen or spin button in an attempt to sreal your money. This happened to a woman who said she was playing China Shores and got like 10 CS Bonus Symbols and got the choice to play either Cash Prize or Free Games. She was just about to choose "Free Spins," when a complete stranger reached over and chose "Cash Prize, in an attempt to steal her money and it gave her the lowest cash prize. She was understandably livid and cussed him out and hit him in anger. Casino Staff mentioned this guy had been touching multiple people's screens in an attempt to steal from them and had been complained about so many times. They not only didn't punish her for hitting him, they profusely apologized to her for him costing her free spins and gave her free play for the attempted theft.

The spin button scam is when a Crook spins a random person's button hoping to get a Jackpot Win/Be awarded the money. Most if not all Casinos award Jackpot Money to whoever spun the button. So a random stranger spinning your button and getting awarded the Jackpot money on YOUR money is a very real and sucky probability. Luckily many people are not brazen enough to openly and blatently touch a stranger's slot.
