Fairground ride that looks like massive Swastikas is shut down in Germany

Re: Fairground ride that looks like massive Swastikas is shut down in Germany

How could the designers have missed it? Could it have been intentional?

The swastika is an ancient and powerful symbol that has remained in the collective unconscious for centuries. Will it emerge again? Most likely. Symbols have a way of returning (deliberately or inadvertently). In most cultures, the swastika is a positive, life-affirming symbol. Thanks to the Nazi perversion of the swastika, it's associated with something negative in modern Western culture. Maybe in time the symbol can be rehabilitated.

BTW, Death in June's album Rose Clouds of Holocaust was banned in Germany because of the title. The band and album are apolitical. The Jewish rock band KISS had to get rid of the lightning bolt 'SS' in their band logo for their German tours and record releases because the 'SS' too closely resembled the Nazi SS logo. Germany is getting ridiculous with this stuff!

Should have just said fuck y'all and kept the ride going anyways. Who is gonna be a big enough pussy to be offender by how a carnival ride looks? And I mean ACTUALLY offended not "oooh oooh look I found something I can pretend to be offended by!"
