His life is hectic, with a mix of good and bad.

Not everything is going to be a smash. He still has 3 solidly crafted films under his belt a slight misfire like this is a bit too early to start raising alarm.

I disagree. To have 62% drop in ratings from your last movie to your new one is catastrophic.

I remember a comment about how the script exceed 160 pages. The film must have been closer to the three hour mark before either script revisions or scene cuts. People who were cast don't appear in the film, instead a voice-over has been added to explain their portion of the film. Its hard to guess but i would say a lot has been cut. Hopefully a director's cut can make the film more appealing.

The film in itself isn't all that terrible. The cast were fantastic, as was the direction. It was enjoyable, thoughtful and beautifully done. It just needed more.

wtf is that logic, it's not like there is scientific verified process to movie making you make a movie and it may turn out to be good or bad, his next movie can again score in 90s or 30s
