Do you think Les Miserables (2012) had bad or mediocre singing?

Usually in musicals, they sing in the studio, and dub it in the film. But this film had live singing. The actors were singing as they're being filmed. It's not meant to be perfect as you'd see in theatre.

Aside from that, many say Jackman and Crowe weren't very good singers. What do you think?

2:04 - Jackman goes off key slightly, an example of intentional imperfections to show the characters' anguish.

This is the stage version of "Stars." Compare with Russel Crowe's: big difference.

Not a fan of musicals, and have not seen les mis, but I have seen this and thought it was amazing, from someone whos not a singer by trade, all in one take!

The nostalgia critc and friends have done a review of Les Mis, they talk about Crow and Jackmans singing, they offer a better opinion than i ever could lol
