Leprechaun Returns : Not as bad as the trailer

Not as bad as the trailer

I saw the trailer to this and thought it kinda sucked, but since I had no other idea what to rent on RedBox, I got this one. Also one of the girls in the trailer was hot and thought I'd see some tits. I didn't see tits in this movie. The beginning kind of dragged.

It seems to be a direct sequel to the first Leprechaun movie ignoring the other 100 sequels.

After the movie dragged, it got good. I also liked the ending except for the epilogue.

I'd say the movie is definitely worth a watch at least.

Re: Not as bad as the trailer

It’s meant to be a direct sequel to the original film, where it goes back to the same setting, and even one of the characters return, Ozzie.

I thought it was okay. The guy replacing Warwick Davis did a solid job, and it’s really just dumb fun. Not as good as the first 3 movies though.

Re: Not as bad as the trailer

Warwick Davis was asked to return but declined, saying he's not interesting in doing horror films anymore. So at least they didn't replace him because they didn't want him, which is cool.

Jennifer Aniston was also asked to return but couldn't reach a salary agreement (for obvious reasons).

New guy looks scarier than Warwick, but… has to work on that voice.

I want my pink shirt back.

Re: Not as bad as the trailer

All respect to Davis and Aniston.

Yeah he didn’t sound exactly like him but at least he tried.

Re: Not as bad as the trailer

yeah it's too high pitched and annoying. and he's not as fun as warwick. also, he's mean spirited with the way he talks whereas warwick was never mean spirited and was more campy than this dark version so it never felt that bad no matter how warwick killed people where as you are disturbed by this new version and in a bad way bc he's so mean spirited.

i can't believe they were actually able to reach jennifer about being in this movie. i wonder how they were able to talk to her about being in this movie? she's beyond being in a cheap b horror movie now and has been since she hit it big on friends.

Re: Not as bad as the trailer

its' cool that this movie takes place right after the first movie. it would be interesting if they were to do this in other slasher movie series like child's play

Re: Not as bad as the trailer

Maybe, but I don’t have any wishes for that to happen with Child’s Play. Most of the sequels have been quite solid in that franchise.

Re: Not as bad as the trailer

Also the timing of the events were more comical than horror. But being a comedy fan also, I enjoyed the stuff that also made me laugh in this movie.
