The Watercooler : Bongo
Re: Bongo
I never got into them, Lion. I've heard a good bit of their music, but it never "rose to the top" enough for me to buy some of it and give it the chance it probably deserved.
If you know the title of the song, there's a good chance there are multiple versions on YouTube.
Did it sound like a live version? Sometimes Amazon has 20-30 second clips of the albums they sell… you can listen to those to see if it's the one you heard.
Apparently, stupid people don't know they're stupid.

Re: Bongo
Same here as far as rising to the top.
I'll keep looking for the version. It was sort of "orchestral"? ELO vibey.
It very well may have been a live version.
I always thought it was funny how much they changed (not that I'm complaining). Jefferson Airplane did much the same in the 80's.

Do you know the name of the song?
Check out the list of their albums down near the bottom of the page here… the album release dates are shown. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Moody_Blues
You should be able to go to Amazon and listen to individual song clips from some or all of their 80s albums.

Thanks.
Re: Bongo
I just saw below where you said it's "I Know You're Out There Somewhere"… just type that into a YT search and you should get multiple versions.

Re: Bongo
It's "I know you're out there somewhere ". From what I've found its considered a followup to "Wildest Dreams". Very, very different from their early stuff.

Re: Bongo
80's lol.
I remember at the time thinking how clever they were to change so much and make millions as a result. They weren't the only ones though.

Re: Bongo
That's a great one Dazed!
Re: Bongo
A great song, but this is their best, and truly one of the greatest songs of all time:
😺 Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't. 🤨 Let's go, Brandon! 🤨 Try that in a small town.

Bongo
I heard a song from the late 80's today that I liked. I can't find the particular version online just yet.
They certainly seemed to have changed over the years. Not a bad thing.
