Bela Lugosi and Johnny Weismuller the first Tarzan were Romanian. Edward G. Robinson as well. They were all born in Romania.

Bela Lugosi and Johnny Weismuller the first Tarzan were Romanian. Edward G. Robinson as well. Those are all pureblooded Romanians born in Romania. There are plenty who are part Romanian.

Bela was born 28 years before the treaty of trianon carved up (austro) Hungry and transferred his birthplace to romanian control. he was NOT romanian;he was an ethnic Hungarian. his father was Hungarian.his mother might have been romanian or slovak but that's not important: the physical location of his birth was in the kingdom of austro-hungry.

did you ever think about the fact that not many romanians audition for roles in big Hollywood movies and the ones that do ARE PROBABLY simply not up to the standards of what the casting team want?

Romania has only been a country since about 1947, a good 16 years after Dracula came out. So how could they cast people from a country that did not even exist?
