Donald Trump : I was looking at the Wikipedia page for IMDb + noticed something missing

I was looking at the Wikipedia page for IMDb + noticed something missing

When you go to the Message Board section you'll see that it mentioned Archive.org and Moviechat.org having scraped the boards to preserve the context of the old IMDb board under fair use doctrine.

Why isn't Filmboards.com mentoned alongside as an alternative as there are back-ups of old boards here too?

I think if anyone knows how to amend the entry they should add these boards to that content section as it is only fair to have new people find out about here on an even keel with the competition

I got 2 @Dazed. One for the reply and another for the tag by the looks of it.

You should have two from me back to back from my doing it in this reply to you.

Penelope Keith and Paul Eddington can keep looking into our little garden here and wondering why it is better than their stuffy old place as much as they like

Mine is working fine too now Dazed.

Took a bit of tweaking because I originally kept the inverted commas in it but as long as there is only one rule per word it all works just fine.

Hi felcting through a gloryhole McMurray

Interesting that you posted this on the Donald Trump board. Before IMDb closed, the board was YUGE and nothing got transferred here. @nimda checked it out and apparently the archive was scrubbed. A never-Trumper would do something like that, but it's puzzling. There was more negative than positive in those threads. I suppose it's equally likely that a Trump supporter wiped out this board.

Re: I was looking at the Wikipedia page for IMDb + noticed something missing

I put it here Drake because the other active message boards for discussing movies and TV has a link from Wikipedia to theirs solely on the basis of their 'scrubbing' the IMDb message board records for post histories (Like has been done here) and their Trump board is full of anti-Trump sentiment and it drives most of their traffic.

Since we mostly suspect that Trump's taking office in the US was a core motivator for shutting down the message boards at IMDb I found it odd that this place has very little (Almost zero) traffic in that regard.

I'm neither way with what the will of the people is in the US with regards to their leader but I have noticed Wikipedia scourging any positive sentiment for free speech or presenting both sides of sensitive issues properly - the mainstream media have been doing this too since around 2011/(2) with comments sections closing and the few avenues most people use via social media being heavily moderated soas to silence vast groups of voices.

I have observed that people mostly in favour of free speech would be against this lampooning of Trump because he's the goto guy at the moment in the press and other aspects of the US political framework. I would suggest this would be a decent way for F|b to take a step forward into demanding equal rights to the other message boards which have an SEO advantage by having Wikipedia link to them (Albeit a tiny one).

Just my two pennies as to why I posted here
