You're welcome Dazed! I hope you'll enjoy it. The tone and the story is really something else. Imagine a very dark version of Stranger Things - in German as it happens - mixed with David Lynch. It takes an episode or two to really get into but I guarantee it'll have you on the edge of your seat after that. There are quite many characters to keep track of à la Twin Peaks so you might want to consult one of the Dark wiki family trees - but be VERY aware of spoilers!

I thought that they had already started to film season 2, but it would only be 8 episodes?

I could very well be wrong. I've read a few blogs on the subject and all were pessimistic about a second season, but it's all down to speculation of course. Like I said, I doubt a second season will come near the first but I'll definitely watch it if it actually happens. If nothing else to find out what happens to poor Jonas!

Fuck that I’d love a second season. The first was a masterpiece but they left it open. With creative minds this show could go anywhere.

I couldn't keep track of the different characters at first and following some them in the different timelines only added to this confusion. I had immense help from the family trees you can find online.

It's all about time travelling. Certain characters accidently cause devastating paradoxes. An extremely evil character makes gruesome experiments in order to harness the time travelling portal. It's a very sad series at times.

I'm three episodes in just now but have seemingly called it all from the first 
Worth rewatching the premiere to see the foreshadowing if that's your thing
If there is a season 2 it will be on the 4th of November this year (2019) as that would be most fitting
Good drama though, just easy story to understand if you've read or seen enough of them.

Great show - finished it tonight, but the last three episodes become quite convoluted.
Very intricate and beautiful in its delivery. I think this has nailed the character driven mystery drama genre the most since Lost and feels almost like its spiritual successor.
Among the top 5 foreign language shows I've seen with Gomorrah, Suburra, Romanzo Criminale and Les Revanants.
Soundtrack is beyond exceptional.
Lord President of the Council, Leader of the House, Chairman of the ERG, MP for North East Somerset and I sit next to Boris at Parliament
