The Pianist : Beautiful yet haunting

Beautiful yet haunting

For some reason, I have not watch this movie until now.

The actor more than well deserved his Oscar - What a performance!

…but for a long time it has been all about him kissing Halle Berry + bouldly shuzzing the stoptalkingmusic at the Oscars on my mind until I finally got around checking this out.

So important that we remember the horror what hate can make us people do to eachother, but at the same time also how each and everyone of us are capable of so much compassion as true human beings!

Made me cry, over the cruelity as well as the kindness of mankind. Cried again upon my reading the true story of the characters in real life.

Re: Beautiful yet haunting

I think you expressed that perfectly. That was how I felt too.

Oh hi Nzer!

Thx - appreciate your comment to my post since always nice to share.

Watching the Pianist also reminded me that I never watched Sophies Choice either, so I followed up by taking care of another "must see" sad but with awesome performance by great actors.

Movies do move!

Re: Beautiful yet haunting

It is a harrowing movie etc, but well worth watching

I particularly liked the sound engineering in the movie, lots of different use of noise in many different ways to elicit a reaction from the audience.

No piano music until the end credits too, smart movie.

Ding Dong! 🤡🌎
