What is the coolest thing you ever found?

I found a gold watch on the beach. There was a towel there too, but I didn't need it.

Re: What is the coolest thing you ever found?

A $100 bill on the ground at a casino.

Then I lost it gambling.

Re: What is the coolest thing you ever found?

A $100,000 lottery ticket.

No sooner did I bend down and scoop it out of the street did some maniac run me over with his car. While I was in the hospital recovering I had a lot of time to think about karma and stuff, and how I was probably being paid back for all the rotten things I did to people.

So I made a list. And vowed to spend that $100,000 righting wrongs and such.

Luckily I had a good brother to smack me upside the head and set me straight, we ended up blowing the entire amount on drugs.

It was a good weekend!

Re: What is the coolest thing you ever found?

When I was a kid I found a small leather pouch with some gold dust and nuggets in it that my grandfather brought back from Alaska (he was there shortly after the Gold Rush, and people basically did business with gold).

My dad said I could keep it. I later took the gold to a Government Assay Office and sold it for cash - price of gold was, IIRC, about 75 dollars an ounce back then. I got $175 dollars. I still have the leather pouch to this day. Empty, unfortunately.
