Why doesn't U.S. have boxing day?

😣

Re: Why doesn't U.S. have boxing day?

Yes. Why not? It's a good day for sales, if you like that kind of thing. Also for getting over the excesses of Christmas day, before you have to go back to work again.
A nice little chillin' day. I love it.

Because when your job is so important, you can't take needless time off. The rest of the planet can have their Boxing day and lounge around like slobs. Here in America, we've got a world to run.

And a great job you're doing with that.

Boxing Day originated because European House servants had to work for their employers on Christmas Day. They didn’t spend time with their families until the day after Christmas when they boxed up all the goodies and leftovers from their wealthy employers and brought them home with them for their own families.

And well, slaves in the US didn’t never get no day off at Christmas time or any other time.

Re: Why doesn't U.S. have boxing day?

Thats really sad and i know for a fact that there are still people down in the south who's "help" work extra hours on holidays and are kept away from their own families just to serve these people

Re: Why doesn't U.S. have boxing day?

It would be a day for returning unwanted gifts to the stores. They have no incentive to support it.

Fight Night doesn't even have boxing matches today!

Ask Trump to instigate it as an election strategy.
