Remember when the "blue screen of death" on Windows used to matter?

Now I get it a couple times a month but the computer runs fine otherwise.

Re: Remember when the "blue screen of death" on Windows used to matter?

I've never had that. Sounds interesting though - could you enlighten me about it please?

Bless you NZer, you're always so sweet.

It's basically just your computer crashing. A blue screen comes up and says you had a fatal system error. It looks very scary, but nowadays my computer seems to have no ill effects from it, whereas 20ish years ago it would have been done for.

Thanks! My computer is newish, so I don't know what went down in the past. I hope I never get the dreaded blue screen of death. :D

I've never gotten one of those.

There was a realistic-looking BSOD screensaver.. don't know if it works with newfangled versions of Windows.

(Update)

It does, and you can download it from Microsoft!!!

Re: Remember when the "blue screen of death" on Windows used to matter?

Just reinstall windows 10 if you get this problem, more than likely your hard drive has errors and needs to be replaced. You can buy legit windows 10 pro keys for $2-$3 these days if you know where to look.
