The Soapbox : Is there anything important you want to talk about?
Re: Is there anything important you want to talk about?
I can't think of anything right now Christina, but have you got something you want to tell us?
Re: Is there anything important you want to talk about?
No, not really, but I wish I did. There are lots of things to talk about.

Let's talk about cakes vs pies. Which do you like best?

Pie is better. I don't like cake.

What the hell is this?

What the hell is this?"Preparation
Heat oven to 450 degrees.
Make the crumb topping: Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt together in a bowl. Cut in the butter with a pastry cutter until the consistency resembles cornmeal.
Combine molasses, water and baking soda and pour into pastry shell. Spoon the crumb mixture evenly over the top."

Karliah was part Russian and from England. She didn't make many topics, at all, but was popular and posted kinda a lot.
Her pics had a lot to do with her popularity. Let's not kid ourselves.
Nice person though, whoever she really was…
BTW, I think she said that she was only a quarter (or less) Russian. She was mostly English.

Remember there was a male poster with English, Scottish, and Russian, also from England?

I don't remember him but I believe you. I didn't post much on the Soapbox so I wasn't familiar with everyone there.
Re: Is there anything important you want to talk about?
I don't have either European citizenship or a European passport so I can testify to the extreme difficulty both in living in Europe and in working there.
So I'm puzzled as to why you think you can do both- live and work- in Germany without an EU passport. You can go visit Germany as a tourist but to stay on and live there you need proof of insurance, employment, and financial means.
You may be able to get around some restrictions if you just want to rent an apartment; but no way you can work unless an employer hires you before and then demonstrate to the government that your medical insurance is provided.
It's great you want to go and travel and you have dreams but just how are you as an American without EU citizenship going to work in Germany?

Re: Is there anything important you want to talk about?
I am getting a book that will tell me, but I didn't get a response from anyone else.
