Kids of this generation don't know VHS

Older than Bongo

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

Man is not truly one, but truly two.

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

Well you can’t blamed them, hard to believe but some are in their 20’s now when the DVD player first took over…

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

Please Be Kind and Rewind. Always sucked, when you'd rent a video, and it was rewounded. Dang, is rewounded even a word? Oh well.

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

VHS tapes were the most durable way to watch stuff. I miss my VCR so much.

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

What do you mean by durable?

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

Digital media can be deleted or removed by the content provider. DVDs are easily scratched.

I used to think that digital was the a better option, but I realised that I sopke too soon.

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

I don't scratch mine at all. I just sold some 10 year old dvds on ebay and no scratches. I take care of them.

This is Superman Returns from 2006:

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

Mine always get scratches on them somehow.

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

Most of you don't know how to be bored out of your skull simply because there's only three channels and they're all showing the test card.

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

Yes, back when America was Great, right? Had to get up and twist the dial to change the channels. All that twisting to go from channel 20 to 62, really sucked. And how about the one or two phones you'd have in your house. Everyone would have to share the same phone, and it was normally attached and plugged into the wall. There was no call waiting, no texting, no Netflix, no hulu, ARGGHHHHHHH and all the hours wasted making rotary dial phones! Whenever I see the #makeamericagreatagain slogan I SCREAM and start breathing heavy!

*all the hours wasted MAKING roatary dial phone calls*

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

Back when people only had house phones, call waiting and "three way" were additional amenities you could pay for.

Remember going to a friend's house and asking, "do you have three-way?"

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

I was in the era when the phone was bolted to the kitchen wall with a 6-foot cord…If anybody called after 10:00 pm, my Pop would answer the phone with an angry tone of voice with these words "This better be an emergency!!!"

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

lol, what was with our Dad's back in the day? Anytime they answered the phone, and it wans't for them, they'd get pissed off. Oh well. Can you imagine parents today with kids and smartphones.

When you die, you turn into a ghost, or an evil spirit, for all of eternity. Only a fool would want to return as a fleshly mortal.

Re: Kids of this generation don't know VHS

I still have a VHS player that works!
