Jackie : Was Jackie actually like this.
Re: Was Jackie actually like this.
Jackie had a horrid childhood she was always wanting to please people and make them believe she was good enough and smart enough. So when she became a Kennedy she had to fight through incredible shyness. The ultimate validation of her worth was the White House when that was cut short she was left wondering What about me? WHat am I if not the first lady? So she made herself into part of a myth a legend that was Camalot
Re: Was Jackie actually like this.
Jackie was well-connected and she came from a good family. She married down when she married into the Kennedy family. She was insecure and shallow.

Old Money blah blah..so were the Vanderbelts but they still had a kid jump of the roof on mothers day to his death. Jackie was left alone to fend for herself with employees ..Her step father was "A very nice man". BUt Jackie was broken and her mother thought a Kennedy who was important could fix her

Re: Was Jackie actually like this.
Actually, Jackie wasn't old money. Black Jack Bouvier lied about his "pedigree". The Bouviers were as "lowbred" as the Kennedys, if not more. Jackie's mother married an Auchincloss, that must be where Jackie's highbred fame comes from. However, the marriage was shor livre and Jackie was never close to the Auchincloss clan.
