It's a terrible film with very poor writing. They completely ruined it with the typical Hollywood ending.

Part of the reason is that it is being advertised as such a mainstream easily-likeable movie with two chippy popular actors, but the story isn't really that. If this were a low budget film, but the same story, with different actors, it could have a vastly different audience and one that approves of it more.

Passengers is totally worth seeing at least once at least for the direction and cinematography. Whether you like it or not - like most movies is totally up to you.
