I listened to it on cassette and then read it. I was disappointed by the movies.

Re: Favorite childhood book?

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (all of them), most books by Dahl, Seuss, Silverstein, and Sendak.
I pretended to like Goosebumps, but I really didn't find them that scary or good. I liked some of the art and watched the TV show.

Re: Favorite childhood book?

Winnetou was an American Indian character in several books by the German author Karl May.
As Croft suggested, I googled it.

Re: Favorite childhood book?

I knew it had something to do with Native American Indians.

How did I deduct that?

Not Google .

I reject the new

No I just remembered a movie with Michael Ansara and Tony Curtis called the Manitou.

About a supernatural entity from American Indian culture.

It sounded similar.

Good film by the way.

Re: Favorite childhood book?

Little Black Sambo–I anticipated that it would be considered racist by the time I grew up so I had better read it while I could. I didn't anticipate that it would be easy to find on the internet, but a hard copy would be long out of print.
