Gal Gadot : Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

She was terrible as our new Wonder Woman. Absolutely atrocious casting!

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

The solo WW movie will be so bad.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

...compared to Lynda Carter. There will never be anyone as good,

I don't understand the casting in Hollywood, but this Gal Gadot is just the wrong choice, I mean from face to body?.I guess being Jewish is how the Hollywood rolls in Casting. Lynda Carter had charisma and she really fit that role; there are other actress who could have been much better choices, my choice would have been "Malin Akerman", she was in the movie "Watchmen" and she can act and she looks the part.

Get over the tits. Linda Carter couldn't pull of a mythological goddess if her life depended on it. She's a terrible actress.

Gal was perfect.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

in Batman vs Superman, she was an amazing Wonder Woman, you're out of touch.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

I agree with hindsights. She was perfectly cast. A lot of people keep pointing to the fact that her acting was too cold and distant. In BvS, her character had pretty much given (up to that point) on mankind. Her solo film will be a lot different. We'll see a very different Wonder Woman which should silence some of these haters.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

I don't hate Gal Gadot, but I d b68 o hate her having been cast as Wonder Woman.

Henry Cavill has to bulk up to play Superman and fit "the look." Why shouldn't we expect the same for Wonder Woman? Lynda Carter is statuesque. She has the breasts. She has the waist. She has the legs. She was and will always be Wonder Woman, and no one can help the fact that she defines the character.

If Wonder Woman has been in America or off her island for 70 years, why is she still speaking with an accent? Why does she act like a smart-ass? Wonder Woman is kind, compassionate, and humble...all the while strong, beautiful, and flawless.

Sorry, but Gal was not the gal for this role. Don't even get me started on that costume. Lynda's was far and away superior.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

As I understand she gained 19 pounds of muscle for the role. Critics keep talking about her accent and how she wa 5b4 s too skinny for the role. A lot was mentioned about her acting being too dry and dark. I think she potrays a perfect Wonder Woman. Maybe I saw different movie from everyone else. Would you be witty, happy, understanding and compassionate if mankind screwed you over? I just recently saw some of the old Lynda Carter episodes. She was amazing, but this is not about who makes a better Wonder Woman. They both add different elements to the character. As far as the costume goes, I think the new one is awesome. She looks like a warrior as opposed to the old version of a cartoon character.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but most younger people have already forgot Lynda Carter or haven't even heard about her, and NOW everyone WILL remember the new Wonder Woman Gal Gadot, and absolutely after Wonder Woman 2017, Justice League 2017 and Justice League 2019.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

SHe was just way too skinny for the role, and it turns out she's a terrible actress (judging by the two lines she had in the movie). So why hire her?

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Would Melissa Mccarthy be a better fit for u?

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Sad world you live in, wher 5b4 e those are the only options.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Or perhaps stating Gal was too skinny for the role.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Or perhaps it's so sad that comic book superheroes must all be muscular and fit and good looking.

Oh wait, if they tried to put fat or boy looking superhero comic books out they won't sell as much! It really is a sad world we live in.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Melissa Mccarthy = New Years Elephant.
Gal Gadot = Marry me!

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

completely agree, Miss Israel is Wonder Woman! wow! *beep* everybody who uses models instdead of actors! they don't respect the aud 5b4 ience they can't even find a *beep* real actor not a model this is so disgusting and disrespectful

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

She is great as Wonder Woman.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

She is great as Wonder Woman.

Same here, she looks fantastic as Wonder Woman, i loved her in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the people saying that She looks like a man must go to a ophthalmologist right away, because there is really something wrong with your eyes.

Does this look like a man: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2933757/mediaviewer/rm1871710720

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

I really liked her in BvS. Her accent is a bit distracting, but that just takes some getting used to.
The "she's too skinny" criticism is stupid as *beep*.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Pfft. Get your eyes checked.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Gal Gadot is a gorgeous woman. Stop being disrespectful and enjoy the movie.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Now that's subjective.. I'd rather barf than think of her as my fave comic book character.

So sad that Henry and Gal both deliver their dialogue with almost robot like and or wooden performance yet one never got praised cause he's like the 4 guy to appear on the big screen as him.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

I thought she held her own just fine. I think she was one of the best things about BvS, second only to Ben Affleck.

"Lives with no meaning go straight past you, like trains that don’t stop at your station."

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Well she had like 4 lines in the whole movie, and everyone left feeling she was the best thing in the whole movie. You can take that as how bad the movie, or how good she was.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Honestly Cavill delivered his lines just a little better than her, though both were very robot like and wooden yet no one praised him and he was the one who could probably last the longest against Doomsday tbh as well.

All the critics and people probably loved her cause it was the first time Diana was ever on the movie. Wait till the solo comes out. I've already heard comments saying she has almost no screen presence and some argue she has very wooden acting but they'll still watch it.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

There are two problems with the superhero genre.

A. Die hard fans who don't care about the entertainment, and are just glad 111c to see their favorite superhero on the big screen.

B. Parents who take/pay for their kids to go see superhero movies, and it doesn't matter whether it's good or not, but that its cool.

This is why none of the problems will be fixed, they have their base, and losing discerning movie goers doesn't matter to them one iota.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

She did not fit the part to me either. People may think she's so beautiful and all, but that doesn't really make a person play a character well or fit in a movie. This movie wont go down as one of the greats... 😒

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Nothing can convince me that this girl is a good Diana Prince.

I don't even like the way they portrayed her, thanks New 52 for making her something that she wasn't. She came off as cocky while fighting Doomsday and she tried to act mysterious while delivering dull dialogue. At least a decent actress like Eva Green would've had some emotional depth while speaking their lines even if it was limited.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

*chuckle* Months go by and yet this thread rolls on.

I have a certain fondness for Linda Carter but for me she remains a pretty bland Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot piques my interest and I'm looking forward to seeing her in the movie.

Now if they'd just get rid of Ben Affleck. He's a better director than he is an actor.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Gal was a standout in the movie. She had such little screen time but she gave such a memorable performance. She is regal through and through and a perfect Diana and WW.
I like that she had an accent that you couldn't place, the woman is centuries old so I think she should sound different and not like an American.

1. BVS 2. TWS 3. Avenger

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Lynda is the only WW, sorry Gal

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

I think Lynda Carter is quite skinny too. Oh God! I'm objectifying woman!

THRILLER IS MY FOOD!

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

She is gorgeous! I think she's perfect for Wonder Woman

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

she doesn't fit for the role.. She looks good but her slender build, cracker thin arms and other phsyical features are insufficient.

She is beautiful yet very raw and fragile.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

While Carter is beautiful, Gadot is more sensual and is far more believable as a fighter.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Yeah because anorexia just screams badass warrior....

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Don't think you know what anorexic looks like. Besides, guys like Bruce Lee, Donnie Yen, Tony Jaa and Don Wilson were all ridiculously slim and even underweight back in their prime, you don't see anyone questioning their legitimacy in fight scenes. Because guess what, to make a believable fighter you don't need volcanic muscles.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

Bruce Lee was muscular and toned. As were the rest of them.

Gadot is a stick figure. You are right though, one doesn't have to have volcanic muscles to look like a fighter. But surely there is some middle ground between The Hulk and a weed. Gadot looks more believable playing the lasso than Wonder Woman.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

That's because the people I listed were men and thus had an easier time to get ripped. Also for majority of his career, Jet Li wasn't ripped. I can remember a few movies where he was but mostly he wasn't. Same thing with Chuck Norris. He was tall and lanky and never ripped. Besides, Gadot looked more believable in her fight scenes than Scarjo was in hers.

Re: Sorry, terrible Wonder Woman…

How about a few qualifications rather than "I say so, therefore it IS so" type proclamations? "I disagree" is the only reply I can give as per your reasoning. She fits all the descriptions of the comic book Wonder Wonder. NOT a Linda Carter American bombshell, no. I loved Ms. Carter in my teens, yes. But that was an American network version.
