There's a difference between a site logging internet traffic, and someone collecting that type of personal data about you.
all website log it and have tracking cookies. What's the fuss about?
Not to mention that with your IP ADDRESS, you physical address and internet traffic can be traced. A keylogger may be installed via malware and specifically other sites you frequent that utilize a password will be exposed.
It's dangerous! A reputable site like IMDb is a business and knows that there are risks involved, so they take proper cyber security measures. The site in question does not.

That's me, unfortunately you were 100% right.. he stole all my credit card information and spent about 50k from it.. he also changed my password for that account, he's in control of it now.. sick man, fortunately I had this one as replacement.

IMDb is a business that absolutely uses your IP address to target advertising to you.
then imdb is logging IP Addresses too
However as a business, IMDb also has a vested interested in protecting you as a customer.
FAUSTUS5's board has no such interest in doing that.
