Re: Majel Barrett
She's okay.
Movie Theater: Young Frankenstein 10/10. RIP Gene Wilder. One of the funniest people of all time.

Re: Majel Barrett
I like her
Re: Majel Barrett
She was also in an episode of Babylon 5, rival show to DS9.
Why are you here if you haven't seen the movie yet?

Re: Majel Barrett
What a rant. Luxana Troi was one of most absolutely annoying characters ever in Star Trek. Every time I saw her face I thought oh great, another one of these stupid episodes with inappropriate sexual behavior from senior citizens.
Re: Majel Barrett
No, Smoke. I think you have this confused with the Golden Girls.

Re: Majel Barrett
I liked her in the original series, but she irritated me as Tron's mom, hana

Re: Majel Barrett
Let's not forget her great performance as Number One in the unaired pilot The Cage
Majel Barrett
She player Christine Chapel in Star Trek Original Series (1966-1969) and The Animated Series (1973-1974) and film wise at least Star Trek The Motion Picture (1979), not sure if the character appeared again
She plays Troi's Mother in Star Trek Next Generation (1987-1994) and Star Trek Deep Space Nine (1993-1999)
However she is mostly known at the voice of the ship's computer in every show and did a lot of episodes in each, many more than her on screen appearances
She voiced computer in
Star Trek: The Original Series (1966-1969)
Star Trek: The Animated Series (1973-1974)
Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1994)
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993-1999)
Star Trek: Voyager (1995-2001)
I think she did Star Trek Enterprise (2001-2005) too and her last voicing of the computer was in the newer film Star Trek (2009)
I know she was married to Gene Roddenberry so nepotism maybe, but she was good as Chapel and Troi's Mother, great speaking voice, she is always the ship's computer,i am very used to it.
I like how even after Roddenberry died in 1991, they respected her enough to keep her involved with Star Trek, she continued to play Troi's Mother in The Next Generation, carries that on to Deep Space Nine amd continued to voice the Ship's character for years on Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise, all many years after Gene Roddenberry died.
I just think that if Roddenberry had made his people cast her in the roles, then after his death, they didnt feel obligated to cast her but they still did for a long time so she seemed respected.
Is it believable that all the ships in Star Trek franchise (1966-2005,2009) all have the same voice, all those decades apart? I mean Next Generation is decades after The Original Series but has same computer voice.
