Re: whole film created to give Luciana a role?
I think she is OK. Remember she had a violent dad who treat her bad so it's not strange she is tough and not too much expresive.
Re: whole film created to give Luciana a role?
I adore Mr. Duvall but was so disappointed! It's like he had to cast his wife. I'm sure she's a loving and talented woman, but acting is not her forte. I wanted to turn away every scene she was in. So sad
Re: whole film created to give Luciana a role?
The whole movie had a weird tone to it. The acting wasn't on point. The story was hard to follow. And yes his wife was very wooden and stiff.

and what the hell kind of accent was that supposed to be? It wasn't Mexican, Native American or Texan. My husband thought French, but I couldn't identify an accent at all.

He also cast her in "Assassination Tango", which he produced, directed and starred in. In the beginning of this movie, I thought he had produced it as well.
There's a forty year age difference, so I guess he's gotta keep her happy somehow!JK
I love his work, just started watching this and had to come here to see if he had his finger in all the piesI only hope her character isn't a key player -I need this movie to be good-looking had a rough day! lol
He's an accomplished Tango dancer, which isn't exactly easy to pull off - my husband and I took Tango lessons for our wedding, we decided to Tango our first dance, but that was a huge mistake!
As if we didn't have enough on our plate with planning a wedding. IDIOTS!

Re: whole film created to give Luciana a role?
Sorry for the typos above. I meant to say that when I saw HER in the beginning of this film, I decided to come here to see what his involvement was. I don't know why it came out "good-looking", I just want it to be a GOOD watchstupid auto correct or predicted text, or whatever!
Sorry folks :-) I will have to edit when I have more time and energy!

OMG it totally makes sense now!
I didn't know she was married to Duvall. But her terrible acting and weird accent just stuck out to me and I was thinking like "what a horrible actress". Now I see how she got the part

Re: whole film created to give Luciana a role?
Few comedies feature anything as hilarious as the moment in Wild Horses where Luciana, in a completely flat monotone, says "I've just been shot at, sir." Her entire performance is inept on a level you almost never see in a movie that gets distribution.
Re: whole film created to give Luciana a role?
OK, if we're going to imagine this as unwitting comedy and allow ourselves to be snarky, it almost works as parody. i tend to prefer more obvious, slapstick parodies like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which mocks all cop shows while being the funniest stuff on tv. it is definitely funny if anyone paid theatre prices for this 'film'.
Re: whole film created to give Luciana a role?
I just got to the "I've just been shot at, sir." Thats it, I'm not watching anymore.
