Sharknado : Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

Just a heads-up.

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

Yeah, thinking about going but this movie is so stupid it might not be a good one to riff.

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

Yeah I'm actually at the movie theater now with my dad waiting for it to start. There's a guy here dressed up in a full shark costume. That is all.

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

I got back from seeing this at a slightly full showing (when I expected there to be only 5 or 6 other attendees). Mostly people in their 40s and 50s, oddly enough, leaving me and my mate as the sole young'uns.

While I've never held true doubt in Mike, Kevin and Bill's choices, it turned out to be quite a successful experiment despite Sharknado's 'intentionally stupid' tone. It's a larf from start to finish, with Ian Ziering's unexplained Batman-ness being a highlight theme.

The best part overall, however, was the new riff of A Case Of Spring Fever before the film.
I can die happy now that I've heard Coily's soul-shirking taunt of NOOOOOOOO SPRINGS in high-def surround sound.

"DO NOT WRECK THIS GIGANTIC DOOM."

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

Just got back from the theater. Very entertaining, the boys did a great job. There's an encore next week if you missed it tonight. Now I'm primed to see them riff GODZILLA next month.

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

I was there and it was extremely funny. Will try to make it to Godzilla next month

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

It was great. My brother and his wife viewed it with me and they both loved it as well. Hopefully I'll be able to make next month's Godzilla riff.

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

I liked how they referred to Ian as "Luke Perry, "Jason Priestly" and "Tori Spelling."

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

i fell out of my chair laughing so hard

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

What was that line about Tara Reid that went something like "I'm going to Tara-rize you"?

It made me laugh, but I can't remember the exact phrase.

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

i laughed when they said "Tera's trying to act"

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

Welcome to Taradise bitches

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

Thank you.

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

I can do no more than echo all the great reviews other "Misties" have presented hereit was AWESOME!!!

I can add one more nugget, thoughthis may be the one time that I laughed harder at the movie itself than the dialogue of Mike and the boys.

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

Dwah, now I'm bummed I didn't go. Well if what people are saying about them doing Godzilla next month is true I will go see that for sure.

How does the audio of the movie and the riffers work out? Can you hear both clearly?

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

Slog, all is not lostit will be re-shown this week in the same cinemaslook it up, find the theatre and GO!!

PS > The audio in my cinema was perfect.

Re: Rifftrax version broadcasting live in theaters tonight

Definitely try to catch the encore! I think this was one of the funniest Rifftraxes ever.

As far as the audio, the guys seem pretty careful to riff in between on-screen dialog as much as possible. Must take a lot of practice.
