Tequan Richmond : He doesn't fit in…

As one of their children on everybody hates chris. The mom is dark and so is the dad. Its kind of funny that they picked a light-skinned boy for the role of two dark-skinned parents, but I love him in the show. He also looks older than Chris, but he is supposed to be his younger brother. Does anyone else notice this besides me?
I just started watching this show last year, and I wish it didn't get cancelled. =/

I ALMOST decided to let this obviously ignorant comment go, BUTit IS possible for two dark-skinned parents to have a lighter skinned child. Some dark-skin people have parents with a much lighter skin tone, and they in turn, sometimes, end up having kids with lighter skin. My grandmother has 11 children: 5 are light-skinned, and the other 6 are all darker-skinned. Yet amazingly, they all have the same mother AND father - imagine that! Just one more amazing genetic fluke.

Well the son's are both the same age in real life so chris aka tyler james just looks kinda young. Also black people come in all shades. My mom is very light too and I would certainly not be considered close to that. Her sister and her sis' husband are both a deep brown tone and have 4 very light almost passing for white children and one son darker than them. Our offspring can range dramaically. Please educate yourself before you make ridiculus assumption about other races. It just makes you look ignorant.

While it is possible for two dark parents to have a light skinned child, you know, maybe the light skin was inherited from a grandparent. But I know what you mean, two dark parents, both siblings are dark and then he's the token light guy.

I am brown skin my husband is lighter than me, not really light skinned but lighter than me.
Our 10 year old is lighter than both of us she is like Beyonce when she is tanned.
Our 5 year old is very light skinned. I m2000ean like Alicia Keys.
But my dad and his family are light my mom is very dark skinned.and my husband's family is a variety of hues.

Just like 2 brunettes can have a blonde baby. Or a brunette and blonde can have a red head.

Why the need to play the race card??!!!! It's obvious there are those that simply don't understand the Black race of people. Blacks are diverse in looks which makes us stand out.

Light-skinned, dark-skinned, medium tone, etc. Who caresit's all a part of the same race. Black is beautiful.

The siblings on this show are typical of most black families. There are many shades. A dark skin child can be born to two light skin people and vice versa. And it's also possible that kids can take after their grandparents, great-grandparents or uncle/aunt. Some kids favor others in the family other than their parents.

Plus, Tequan is not that light skin. He's light brown.

My grandmother and her husband were both dark and they made my uncle who is light and looks just like them both.
