The Hateful Eight : The resemblance to Reservoir Dogs

Don't get me wrong I love this movie big time and I can't believe so many people don't like it. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it but it basically just feels like a re-skin of Reservoir Dogs, especially when Tarantino has two actors in this movie that are both in Reservoir Dogs. it's even structured in a similar fashion too, how the timing jumps from here to there, shows you what happened prior to the beginning of the film etc.

What do you guys think? is it maybe a little TOO similar to Reservoir Dogs?

However similar some general plot lines are, finding the 'rat' amidst a group of people and the fact that all of them end up dead in the end, I'm afraid that's where the similarities stop. I mean, the characters couldn't be more different from the ones in RD, especially the ones Tim Roth and Michael Madsen play. RD's pace and mood is considerably fast, almost frantic, jumping back and forth constantly. H8's pace is the total opposite. It's slow & mournful.

I think you wrote this idiotic post to say, "Hey!!! There are similarities to reservoir dogs in this film. Plus, 2 of actors from RD are also in this film. See how smart I am?".
