Daredevil : Anyone else hate Karen? (SPOILERS)

I hate this woman so much. Her martyr ways has gotten too many characters killed - her coworker, Elena, Ben. It pains me that the writers didn't kill her off in S1. Like why is she even alive? She's completely useless (except for getting another character killed), she's overbearing af. She completely ruins this show for me. Please tell me she is different in S2 than in S1.

Same old complaints

1. Her co-worker, according to his wife, had already noticed something was going on, and with his wife's encouragement was planning on blowing the whistle on it. His wife actually blamed herself.

2. Watch the scene, Karen has zero to do with Elena's death, she is not the one who persuaded Elena to turn down Fisk's deal. That was Foggy, he was insistent that she not take it. Karen said nothing. Fisk then later admits that he had Elena killed specifically to draw out Daredevil, so you can blame that on Matt if you want.

3.Ben's a big boy, he made his own decision. After telling Karen he was not following up on Fisk's mother's story, he chose to go out on his own and find corroborating evidence, and then to make an aggressive and very public effort to get it published.

I don't think we are watching the same show if you think the 3rd point is true. She manipulated Ben into visiting Fisk's mother (which was one of the reason he died) when he had given up a writing the story about Fisk and was taking the promotion. Secondly, he was waiting for a source to establish link between Rigoletto and Fisk's father and it was her nagging which pushed him to write up the story and push it. Her constant "we can't let him get away with this or that" spun Ben's death into motion. Perhaps he would've died eventually, but she sped up the process.

Yeah, I don't know why people want to blame Karen, rather than the people who actually did the killing.

Hell, I've seen some people put blame on her for the death of the guard who attacked her in jail, when he was killed by Fisk's people as coverup, not by Karen.

Hah, I came here to say the same thing (though Elena was more Foggy's fault). She's also exceedingly reckless (like the whole thing with Fisk's mother).

I've just finished S1 E11 and the series is starting to drag. So far I'm 0 for 2 with Netflix's Marvel series (didn't care for Luke Cage either). Hopefully Daredevil S2 and Jessica Jones are better.
