Tale of Tales : Which three tales of Giambattista Basile is this based upon?

Any insights would be most welcome.

They are all from the same fairy-tales collection "Lo cunto de li cun-ti" also know as "Pentamerone", the stories are "La cerva fatata" (The enchanted doe), "La pulce" (The flea) and "La vecchia scorticata" (The three sisters).

Thats only partly true: The stories mentioned are adapted, sometimes heavily. It seems that Garrone took elements from various stories and mixed them as he pleased.

Hi there! I believe that the English title of "La Vecchia Scorticata" is something like "The Flayed Old Lady" or "The Old Lady Who Was Skinned", since the "Three Sisters" story seems to be totally unrelated to what we saw on screen (as far as I can tell from its Wikipedia description). It seems the movie followed the original pretty closely.
