Chris Hemsworth : In the Heart of the Sea: Beautifully Made, but Poorly Told

In the Heart of the Sea: Beautifully Made, but Poorly Told

Ron Howard’s “In the Heart of the Sea” is a beautifully-made film that features stunning visual effects, but it’s ultimately let down by a bland screenplay that’s unable to bring out the exciting and epic nature of the story. Available starting tomorrow (3/8).

Agreed but I bought it anyway. I'm a sucker for sea adventure movies.

I thought it was a thoroughly enjoyable movie on every level. I found it interesting, compelling and visually beautiful. The only issue I had was the odd accents, which seemed quite uneven at times, but, for all I know, perhaps that is how they speak/spoke in New England. I think Chris proved once again that he's a capable actor that is far more than just a 'pretty face'.

Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
