.In truth I actually think it would cheapen the storyline if he showed up alive again after the most recent episode, which was one hellofa tearjerker. But I wonder what people's thoughts are.

Same chance as there ever was. First off, if Mike was alive, there's no reason to think he'd still be living in his childhood home in Tucson. He would move on and look for other people or live in a mansion, just like the others did. And, for that matter, the same goes for Mark.

Tandy should have opened the door and looked. It's better to know.

Of course, if Mike had died in that room, Tandy and Louis would have known instantly when they opened the front door.

In any case, the writers left the situation ambiguous on purpose. Depending on the actor's schedule, he might come back.

After spending the whole first season setting him up in the space station, having a big story about him making it back to Earth, and reuniting with his brother? Yea, he's still alive.

I don't think Mike got the same disease that wiped out the planet, remember he shares blood with Tandy so he may be immune, I think because he has been in space for so long and then at sea, he caught a 'bug' which made him ill and since there are no real doctors alive anymore, he feared the worse.

I think he will return but may end up in Vegas partying and drinking away.
