Peaky Blinders : Was Grace really a 30,000 pound lay?

Was Grace really a 30,000 pound lay?

The sapphire Tommy took to round up payment for the Russian spy murder plus a down for future services was valued at several thousand pounds.

What did Grace possibly do to deserve such a gift? Did Tommy forget to consider Arthur and John's contributions in "Earning" the payment?

Grace to the end was a whiny, insecure, nagging, woman. Her parenting skills her nil too.

I sure wish Tommy would have went with May.

Re: Was Grace really a 30,000 pound lay?

Isn't that what rich men do, give their wives expensive jewellery? It's a bit like footballers giving their wives diamond rings worth millions. With hindsight I'm sure Tommy wishes he'd given the cursed jewel to one of his brothers ...... perhaps Arthur?

The UK produces many shows filled with characters just like Lady May, if that's what you're in to. Downton Abbey, Victoria, Upstairs Downstairs, Poldark are just a few. Basically any ITV or BBC series aired at 9pm on Sunday evenings.

Keep the how-now-brown-cow brigade for Sundays. PB needs to stick to its routes and bring in more smart, tough, working class women.

They smelt of pubs and Wormwood Scrubs. And too many right wing meetings.

Re: Was Grace really a 30,000 pound lay?

I would have gone with May. Less drama (what happened to her husband?) and more submission.

Yeah, I agree.

Re: Was Grace really a 30,000 pound lay?

I'm not a Lady Meh fan but submission is such an ugly word. Conjures up images of abuse and control.

Short of bad writing, I would like to think that she would have snapped out of her Tommy coma and grown a back bone at some point.
