Fifty Shades of Grey : So Sexual Violence Against Women is Not only Acceptable it's Desireable?

So Sexual Violence Against Women is Not only Acceptable it's Desireable?

As long as that violence against women is being carried out by a rich guy.

So what this movie (and book) is reinforcing is that women's bodies are an object for sale even if they are not being paid anything for it.

It also reinforces the idea of hypergammy or that women can only fall in love or be whipped and chained by a man of higher status than them.

But she actually doesn't , she thinks she loves him and him being her first will do anything for him . He has power and money after all , which is what seems to be the actual attraction . It takes her getting whipped hard to realize this is scary and I can't change this man. This is a dangerous mind set , and the 500 million profit this movie received is frightening .

I absolutely agree with that as well. But war is already such a drilled in norm to our society.

Ana is a very naive, not very experienced women. She might be book smart, but never experienced life. And now she is attracted to this rich, not only sexual experience guy, who also shows interest for her - So her love seems like it is not a one-way ticket.

As far as we know she never had a real relationship with someone before and people do stupid things if they are in love in real life too.

There are women and men that let their partner abuse them without such a contract because they believe the person will change and they can bring about the change. Relationships like that can go on for years and longer, if nobody helps this person or this person doesnt realize she/he needs help. There are also people committing crimes, because they think it is true love - Also in real life.

She is blinded by love and does everything she thinks she has to do to hold him. But I would suggest you dont watch the other movies, because she returns to him and this goes on.
