Mr Selfridge : The Theme Music

The Theme Music

How on the whole Earth can we find anything remotely similar to this music? It's fantastic!
Just listening to it evokes feelings of grand adventures and excitement.

What we know is that the creator is Charlie Mole.
One person credited it to being sort of a 'razamataz American jazz'.
Seems to belong in the early 1900s.

But still we cannot find anything that fills our need to hear more of this lovely theme: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=27e9F7FZFFE

So how, dear like-minded people, are we going to figure this out?

Re: The Theme Music

I am glad that I am not the only one crazy about the theme music. It is exciting classy and upbeat.

Re: The Theme Music

I love the music as well. Along with the beautiful score of 'Call the Midwife' - excellent.

I prefer fantasy over reality TV - like Fox News. - B.Streisand

Re: The Theme Music

Is there any hope to find music from the series in DVD? I loved it too!

Re: The Theme Music

The Main Theme can be downloaded on iTunes.

Re: The Theme Music

It's ragtime. You might look into Scott Joplin, Fats Waller, Jelly Roll Morton and Preservation Hall tunes on youtube.

Re: The Theme Music

I love the theme music as well. It gets stuck in your head, but in a good way.

Re: The Theme Music

I'm embarrassed to say that I dance a little jig when the theme music comes on!!!
