Red Skelton : Height

How tall was Red Skelton? He seems to tower over others.

I think he was 6" 2' or is it 6' 2" anyways my brain is dead rite now so all I know he was 6-foot 2-in. Does that help?

I remember Red towering over me but I am not really sure how tall he was. I know he wasn't too much shorter than Duke and Duke was 6'4 1/2. I am only 5'6, so everybody seemed taller than me though.

Red was a really close friend and great performer Even in the darkest times in history, he'd bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart.

Red was taller than most of the comedians of his era [George Burns, Eddie Cantor etc]. It really suited his goofy persona.

Skelton was taller than mere mortals like us. He was 6'2.

I'm watching DuBarry was a Lady, and noticed that Red towered over Gene Kelly. Had to come here and verify the height difference. IMDb lists Kelly as 5'8" and Skelton as 6'2". I'd had no idea Red was that tall!

A lot of people towered over Gene Kelly.

Red's height was unusual in that most comedians were shoda0rt or of average height. I think Skelton's height added to his goofy persona.
