Deception : There's Hope Yet for Season 2

There's Hope Yet for Season 2

Think about it: why else are the writers able to pitch a Season 2 this coming Monday?

I don't know about you but that to me that NBC is considering. If the show was as certain to be cancelled (as some TV ratings websites are strongly predicted) why let the writers pitch an idea at all if they were just going to cancel?

Re: There's Hope Yet for Season 2

I saw that tweet too. I guess the show really was planned to be canceled, explaining the shorter episode order at last minute (13 to 11), but I guess a second chance was given and I'm just hoping the writers brought their A-game. Still hoping everything goes well. There's so much room for improvement. I know some people are no fans of Meagan's acting, but she got better in my opinion. They just need new and stronger writers.

Re: There's Hope Yet for Season 2

I love this format the 11 or 13 episodes. When the shows have too many episodes, they get lost while telling the story. In the Uk, that format works and they have more seasons.

Re: There's Hope Yet for Season 2

So true. I watch a few British series, and I love the shorter seasons. If there is filler, it's verrry little and doesn't detract from the main plot or overall show arc. They have to keep the story moving. Although The Walking Dead is proving that you can fill a short season with filler, but I digress.

Please sign the on line petition for a season 2. This show is worth saving. link to petition is http://www.thepetitionsite.com/833/010/382/nbc-please-renew-deception/

Re: There's Hope Yet for Season 2

what tweet? can you post a link, please? thanks.

Re: There's Hope Yet for Season 2

I saw the tweet also. It was from Katherine LaNasa and I responded to it and received a re-tweet back. I am still hopeful that Deception will be renewed. There is always room for any drama to improve but I think Deception is headed in the right direction and obviously the writers have some ideas that they want to pitch. I would like to see 11 or 13 episodes. I agree with Silk. I think anything more than that.. they tend to create fillers and when that happens it takes away from the story line and throws things off a bit. Short and sweet has always worked in my opinion. Some drama's can play it off fine with no problem but I wouldnt try it with Deception just yet.

Re: There's Hope Yet for Season 2

NBC's lineup has been so terrible this season, outside of Parks & Rec/Office, that there is no possible way they could cancel all the shows that may have normally been cancelled due to low ratings (I actually have no idea what Deceptions ratings have been).

I'd almost guarantee Deception comes back for a second season. Hell, I didn't even know #11 was supposed to be a finale, 'cause it sure didn't have the feel of a finale.
