Hal Scardino : worst actor ever

worst actor ever

this is by far the worst actor ever!

Re: worst actor ever

Even though I found this guy the ugliest thing I'd ever seen in The Indian in the Cupboard, I wouldn't say he's the worst actor ever. First, take a look at Ben Affleck. HE'S the worst actor ever.

Re: worst actor ever

omg i can't believe that he is older than hilary duff! I didnt even know the=at the indian in the cupboard was made in 1995!

Re: worst actor ever

He was really bad in that movie, I enjoy Indian in the Cupboard but his performance was really bad!! He's awful as an actor I agree 100%

Re: worst actor ever

i think as a child actor, 'indian in the cupboard' i'm watching RIGHT NOW too!, he's ok.. i've seen better but he has pretty good comedic timing - that's what i have to say about the kid, despite having buck teeth & not being that great looking i've always loved Vincent Kartheiser in the movie as his brother.. alllllways :)

poor kid,he wasn't the worse ever, but he was pretty bad,and he was ugly as hell.Still the Indian kid annoyed me more

Re: worst actor ever

Okay I think it should have been obvious that he was saying plastic that way so that Little Bear would understand! That was the way Little Bear said it at the beginning.

On the subject of him being a bad actor, I don't think there are more than 5 truly talented child actors/actresses out there, so what do you expect? But g111civen the fact that Hal spent the whole movie talking to a tiny indian man that wasn't actually standing in his hands, I would say he did a pretty good job. How many people do you know that can stare into their empty hands and produce tears on cue? He had to pretend he was actually talking to someone throughout the whole movie. When you look at it that way, it may seem that his acting was pretty good.

Also, I think they did the special effects really well considering the technology.

Re: worst actor ever

I thought he did a wonderful job and even tho he isn't gorgeous in conventional standards I thought he was a cute kid. I can see him developing into an attractive man ( with a little help with his teeth as well) I watched this back in 1995 with my older kids and just now with my little oneall of my kids loved this movie and I also enjoyed the house they lived in a beautiful spacious brownstone!!

Re: worst actor ever

ok yea he was ugly, but you guys care more about how people look like than how they are talented. its just not cool.

Re: worst actor ever

he's butt ugly and also a frickin bad actor in indian in the cupboard

Re: worst actor ever

Bad movie

Awful actor

Disgustingly ugly kid

Re: worst actor ever

well cuz it is for little kids, and besides he did pretty good. I mean acting is hard to do it infront of everyone. I bet you couldnt act any better than him. so dont say anything unless you can prove it.

Re: worst actor ever

I agree 100%why'd you think he was only in 3 movies 1 in which he starred?

Re: worst actor ever

The movie, Indian in the Cupboard was a great little movie. I just finished watching it with my son. He loved it, and Hal did a great job. At least he can say he was in a movie! The bottom line is, who cares. He made money at what he did and he probably loved making it - it had to have been the funnest movie for a child to make. It is probably a great memory for him and all these people are doing is ruining it. So immature and rude.

Re: worst actor ever

i dont know about his acting but when i was little keep in mind i would have been about 7 when it came out i loved the story but 12 years later i noticed somethings you just dont care about at that age boy you dont realize how much you conform to society until you start looking back. lol but i have to agree not the best looking person in the world it kept distracting me and for those who are like lets see what you look like you can check it out at www.myspace.com/britteeny im not the best looking person in the world but i dont think i would distract anyone if i were in a movie lol (pls be gentle im only human)

Re: worst actor ever

Clearly. I mean, what child actor can't deliver all his lines as convincingly a professional, seasoned one?

Not only is this kid WAY better than most other child actors, he also easily beats out a number of adult ones as well in the skill department (based solely, of course, on his performance in Indian in the Cupboard, which is the only film I've seen him in).

"I have my orders from the Emperor himself, he's got something special planned for them."

Re: worst actor ever

He's crap!
He ruined Marvin's Room! He made the film crap, which made the people who have actually done something in thier lives (etc. Meryl Streep, Diane Keaton and Leo DiCaprio) crap in a film that wouldn't be crap if it wasn't for him!

Re: worst actor ever

When I re-watched Indian in the Cupboard yesterday I actually marveled at the fact that it was still a good movie to me, when I am no longer a kid, and he's a good actor for a kid. He had such a pure innocence in his face. I mean he's not the best I've seen but it didn't seem contrived or forced and think about the process.

Obviously he wasn't actually interacting with anything in that movie. He was looking at his hand and talking to it as though there was someone there and not once did it look like he was talking to nothing (though that also had to do with the oddly good special effects for the 90s)

Anyway, lay off, he's not even an actor anymore.
