Classic Film : A GARTH PARTICIPATORY ACTIVITY

A GARTH PARTICIPATORY ACTIVITY

Not a Game exactly, with no specific rules -- and no scoring or DDC.

Just a couple of poetic film and/or quote related lines -- any that you can think up and add to.
______________________________________________________________________

A few to start with:

'Springtime For Hitler' becomes a big hit
Sam slaps Joel who must take it and like it

Heston shocked them with "You damn dirty ape"
Udo wouldn't give Vic the skin off a grape

Leo's King of the World while still afloat
Roy thinks Quint's gonna need a bigger boat

_____________________________________________________________________

More to come -- and hoping you will contribute as well.

Re: A GARTH PARTICIPATORY ACTIVITY

not quotes but...

WHAT ?? NOT quotes, Byrdz ???
(quick, call Security)

Ahhh -- who needs quotes when it comes out so well.😃

This thread is free wheeling anyway, with no hard-and-fast rules.

(unlike those infernal orders in Garth Games -- 'Tote that barge! Link Christian Bale!').

Examples:

Errol dies with his boots on as Custer
Senator Smith starts a filibuster

Sutherland's 'Klute' will try to protect Bree
Joel and Randy will Ride the High Country

Ray Milland goes on another bender
Ronald Colman's The Prisoner of Zenda

See -- no hands ... I mean no quotes.

What's the phone # for Garth Games Anonymous ?

O/T question for American sports fans….

In Australia when a game is written about the home team is first, e.g.

Melbourne v Brisbane

....means the game is played in Melbourne.

A few gridiron matches are being shown on Aus tv and I get the impression that this is reversed e.g.

Seattle v Dallas

....means it's being played in Dallas. Am I right?

Oscar Buzz Verses

Which Oscar hopefuls will die a slow death?
Which will get noms? We await, bated breath.

The HELL OR HIGH WATER cast loved robbing banks,
Just like the Oscars love robbing Tom Hanks.

We might get SULLY but not so INFERNO.
Will we get ANIMALS, mainly NOCTURNAL.

Speaking of animals, what about LION.
We'll get diversity; quit all your cryin'.

MOONLIGHT, for one, will explode like a calm bomb.
Please don't confuse it with Jewison's Rom Com.

Will HACKSAW RIDGE rise above all of its rigours?
Will history soar or ignore HIDDEN FIGURES.

Up north, our hope rides on Villeneuve's ARRIVAL;
LA LA LAND boosts Ryan Gosling's survival?

Films with short titles all deserve recompenses
Like JACKIE and LOVING and SILENCE and FENCES.

All will be answered for us Tuesday morning.
It's sure to effect my Ram Games (just a warning)!

Our minds can not hold God but our hearts can.

Re: Oscar Buzz Verses
