The Internship : Watched it, liked it.

Watched it, liked it.

I felt like I was watching "Wedding Crashers II. Get a Real Job."

Re: Watched it, liked it.

I agree it was funny and the leads have a good chemistry together. I don't know why people hate on these light-hearted comedy type films, but whatever, I thought it was entertaining.

Re: Watched it, liked it.

Watched it with low expectations knowing it bombed with critics and audiences, but I really enjoyed. I like the characters, they had a lot of heart, which is unusual in these types of comedies where everyone is a douchebag.

Ultimately, I think it's a question of whether you like their schtick or not.

I hate to admit it but I do. Especially Vince Vaughn. I just find him funny.

Re: Watched it, liked it.

Loved it. It was an old dog, new tricks kind of story.

Re: Watched it, liked it.

How refreshing to find a thread that isn't picking it apart.

I first saw it a year or so ago, and liked it. I like Vince Vaughn. I liked how the generation tech gap was shown (thought it was funny), and the wacky yet also oddly creepy Google corporate culture was shown.

Haven't seen Wedding Crashers but will see if I can find it.

Re: Watched it, liked it.

Vince borrowed heavily from the plot of Old School: middle aged slackers hanging with people half their age, failing to fit in yet rallying a lovable group of outcasts to victory. It even starred a Wilson brother. That movie had a large following so I'm sure there's some crossover appeal.

I have a lot of criticisms but I won't crap on your thread. Just saying that I get why someone might like this movie.

Of course it is a Google commercial but not JUST a Google commercial. Right now I'm reading the Carl Barks Collection. It features a story created for the power companies to teach kids how to behave near power lines. It's a commercial & not even close to being one of Barks' better stories. But it's still Barks & enjoyable.

Re: Watched it, liked it.

I did enjoy it too. Over the years, I've warmed up to both Vaugn and Owen Wilson. They're not my favorite comedy paring, but they're still pretty good together.

So many stories, so little time.
