Politics : U.S. Policy on Two-State Solution about to change, apparently.

Re: U.S. Policy on Two-State Solution about to change, apparently.

Trump is still thinking about the Embassy move.

If Israel doing some things like annexing is better to happen first, that's fine with me.

Re: U.S. Policy on Two-State Solution about to change, apparently.

I don't really know too much about that conflict, but after reading most of your posts it really seems like you want to create something like a warsaw ghetto for palestinians. Cage them in, let them live, but don't give em too much rights and possibilities to develop. Keep them under control at all costs, but call them "free", they might ust swallow it. Ideally build a wall around them.
If this is the idea your president is trying to push through, I could understand why palestinians radicalaze. By no means I support any kind of attacks from any of the side on the other, but hell, I would be mad to get treated like that. This is pure arrogance and like I said, I don't know much details about the conflict, but this does not seem like any option for a peaceful solution to me.

No, you know nothing about the conflict.

The Palestinian Arabs are all over us already. They're everywhere.

They would still be everywhere, but the violent terror gangs will leave.

The non-violent people will make a lot of money and their lives will be 100% better.

What will be missing is the violence. They can rule over themselves and have good lives, which is something that most of them have no chance of happening while the terror groups are here.

When has suppression EVER led to peace or less violence in the last 5000 years of more or less documented history?

After World War II.

Germany had to have the Nazis removed and they couldn't get militarized anymore. They're still occupied to this day, so to speak.

Japan's Emperor had to say he was human, and the Japanese couldn't militarize anymore. They're still occupied to this day, so to speak.

Both countries had to knock off the freakin' violence and wars.

Same with the Palestinians. They have lost and their fight needs to end now. Anyone who doesn't agree to end the fighting should leave.

No, really not. Germany even came out bigger and stronger than ever before, thanks to the US and the Marshal Plan. Do you have a Marshal Plan for the palestinians?

I think the Japanese would disagree aswell, but I can't speak for them.

Just do it too then :) It's easy, fill your magazines with gummibears instead of bullets.

I've been talking about it all along. They would have more jobs than they've had in Israel for decades.

They're not a country so it's different, but the jobs would be unbelievably plentiful - and they make the same money as Israelis for the same work.

Germany and Japan came out stronger and better because they agreed that they'd lost the war and stopped trying to start more wars.

This is precisely what the Palestinians need to do.

If the Palestinians stop fighting, the war is over.

If they won't stop fighting, Israel will have to make them stop.

This is the only way to peace.

These maps are false. The Palestinians never had a state or controlled land here (until Israel gave them self-rule via the Oslo Accords). The Palestinian Authority (given to them by Israel) was the first government they ever had in the history of the world.

My understanding is that Israel will not annex the Arab towns in Judea and Samaria.

So they would be non-Israeli-owned and self-ruled by the Arabs who live there.

The Allies insisted that Germany and Japan stop fighting after WWII, and they did.

They had no real choice but it was the best thing to happen to them.

The Allies insisted that Germany and Japan stop fighting after WWII, and they did.

Indeed, for Germans and Japanese were also both occupying the same microscopic shard of land and they also had the only nuclear weapons in existence.

This is why there is still a war going on.

It must end, just like World War II ended.

Wars have to end at some point.

Even the Hundred Years War ended.

Well, it's been almost 70 years for this war, so it's time to end it.

The Arabs lost almost 70 years ago.

They can't carry on these attempts for a do-over for the rest of eternity.

It's time to stop it.

If they don't like that, they (individuals who don't like that) can leave.

Re: U.S. Policy on Two-State Solution about to change, apparently.

At the very least it would give Israel more leverage even if things still ended up with some sort of multi-state result. Some type of paradigm shift is clearly needed because the "peace process" has been stalled out for a long time.

I also find it interesting that so many people are crying for "Palestinians" to have the right to vote in Israel when Arabs (and everyone else) don't even have the right to vote for their national leaders in virtually any Arab nations that haven't been invaded by the US recently. In fact the many Arabs who are already Israeli citizens can vote and have more freedom and rights than they would in any Arab country. Some "oppression". Israel just doesn't want to completely turn into one of these rightless Arab nations that have repeatedly attacked it over the years.

Re: U.S. Policy on Two-State Solution about to change, apparently.

Arabs flee from the Middle East to western nations to get out of rightless awful places, but the first things they want to do (quite often) are to turn their western hosts into the same rightless awful places that they left.

This is indeed what Israel is trying to avoid.

Now that Obama's gone, we can do anything we want.

Israel had the administrative services in Judea and Samaria prior to the Oslo Accords.

Not only does Israel know every Arab family there, but Israel has undercover operatives who look, speak and act like Arabs (while being Jews whose native language is Arabic).

Israel knows everyone there and Israel can kick out the terror gangs when the time is right. They know it, too.

President Trump is set to fight BDS. He can do it.

Israel has intel agencies to prevent terror attacks and they do a good job.

Meanwhile, check Fatah because they are now formally announcing that they are a terror group (not a peace partner anymore) so they can be put BACK on terror group lists now.

South Africa practiced apartheid; Israel does not.

The relevant analogy here is not South Africa, but rather the Allied occupation of Germany and Japan at the end of WWII. The Germans and Japanese decided to abandon hate and militarism, and instead turn to peace and democracy. Israel is still waiting for the Palestinians to do so.

You constantly compare Israel to South Africa. How come people like you never condemn the Palestinians, who have a culture of hatred and death? Read the Hamas charter some time; it could have come from the pages of Mein Kampf.
