Princess Diana : can you people GET OVER IT?

can you people GET OVER IT?

She is dead, let her R.I.P. I'm sick of hearing about these new investigations. The papparazzi did this, the papparazzi did that, blah blah, STFU!!!
Seems like the English just cant get over her death because she was the only exampe of a "good-looking" British. Just how the east coast cant get over biggy, and the west coast cant get over 2pac's death.
So stop whining, get a hobby, have some fish & chips, smoke a fag, drink your tea, and GET OVER IT. Its like Paul McCartney says, "Let it be." Just let it be.

Oh and another thing... bring back Oasis.

Re: can you people GET OVER IT?

REF: Though I agree people need to get over Diana, she was a ho fo sho.

ANS: Who are you to tell others what they "need to do?" Let folks make up their own minds and live their own lives. If that includes fixating on Diana, it's none of your business. As for your last vulgar comment, you're wrong.

Re: can you people GET OVER IT?

REF: She cheated on her husband.

ANS: Prince Twit cheated on her first with his married mistress then abandoned Diana's bed. What does that make him?

Which is worse, a wife taking a lover, or a husband putting his wife in a position where she has to take a lover?

REF: Get over it, and her.

ANS: There you go again, trying to tell people what to do. Who are you to do that?

Re: can you people GET OVER IT?

REF: Well if I wanted to talk about the Prince, I'd be on his board wouldn't I.

ANS: (chuckle) Nice evasion.

REF: ...you are trying to justify retaliation.

ANS: Your word "retaliation" implies Charles inflicted injuries upon Diana first. I agree. What, in your view, should Diana have done in response to her husband's extramarital affair?

To put it differently, if you had been Diana what would you have done?

No evasion? You evaded my questions.

Re: can you people GET OVER IT?

REF: Only because it has little to do with her being a trollup.

ANS: That's your opinion. Your logic escapes me, but, OK. Let's go to Prince Charles IMDb site. You first and I'll respond.

theballer 04, where are you?

theballer 04, I asked you a few questions about 5b4 Princess Diana on her own message board and you refused to answer. Then you said . . .

"If you want to discuss the things Prince Charles did, I suggest going to his board."

My questions were about Diana, but if you want to go to his site, fine. I went to the Prince Charles site . . .

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0697608/board

. . . and you weren't there. Now what? My questions to you still apply.

Was Diana supposed to sit in Kensington Palace alone while Charles was out boinking his married mistress? What sense does that make? Talk about your classic double standard.

Obviously both partners in a marriage should be faithful, but, it’s odd to me that in some circles one would have official sanction to stray (Charles) while the other would not (Diana). Is one married partner considered privileged over the other; if so, why?

I keep reading messages where people, like you, call Diana all sorts of names for having lovers. Where are the equivalent names for Charles? He cheated first; he lied about his wedding vows promising to be faithful. He knew damned well he wouldn’t give up Camilla.

Remember the phone conversation Diana overheard? Charles to Camilla: “No matter what happens, I’ll always love you.” That tells you about Prince Twit’s intentions right there. I've read he sometimes 1c84 said things like that to women friends without meaning anything sexual or romantic. Excuse me?

What would you have done in Diana’s position?

Re: theballer 04, where are you?

I am not TheBaller04, but if he/she is anything like me, he/she probably just forgot about this thread (or IMDB).

It's probably nothing personal, so don't take it personally.

Re: theballer 04, where are you?

REF: Yes, . . . Diana was supposed to sit in Kensington Palace while Charles was with his mistress.

ANS: That just shows the world Prince Charles was living in; probably still is. It also shows how much the Royal Family was willing to turn their backs.

I mean no disrespect, but, if you had been Diana in that situation, what would you have done? Would you have just sat there while your husband boinked his mistress?

REF: If that was not her nature she should never have married him! At the very least her family should have sat her down & had some serious discussions with her.

ANS: Her mother Frances did just that, taking Diana to Australia for privacy.

From page 148 of "The Diana Chronicles," by Tina Brown, there was a fateful exchange between the two (perhaps inferred by friends):

Diana: "Mummy, you don't understand. I love him."

Frances: "Love HIM or love what he is?"

Diana: What's the difference?"

Oh, Jeez! Is that being love struck or just stupid?

Re: theballer 04, where are you?

REF: I would have sat there while the husband boinked the mistress.

ANS: OK. That was your decision. Diana wasn't willing to do that.

REF: It's too bad her mother did not teach the girl how to handle a man.

ANS: Her mother fell in love with a man at age 15 and married far too young too. Perhaps, she could have told Diana, "Don't make the same mistake I did." Even if Frances told Diana that during their Australia trip, Diana didn't listen.

REF: No, Charles would not mind that she married him only for the position. He is royal and they think differently than we do.

ANS: Charles perhaps was hoping Diana married him for that very reason. That way, she would leave him alone and he would have Camilla. In my reading, there are hints James Hewitt was deliberately steered into Diana's path by persons in the Royal Establishment so she could have her "diversion" and leave "poor" Charles alone. Maybe so, maybe not.

Re: theballer 04, where are you?

REF: You wanted to give her a hug.

ANS: Tell me about it! :)

REF: Sadly, I only heard one mention of the anniversary of her passing this year. That was why I came to this site...S b68 eems she is farther away now.

ANS: I guess that's the natural order of things. People die and, over the years, fade from memory. Those of us who care can keep her in our minds.

God bless William and Harry.

While I adored Diana, I disagree with this statement. Despite Charles's bad behavior, no one put Diana in a position where she HAD to take a lover. It was her choice.

Re: can you people GET OVER IT?

Yes, it was her choice, but if her husband had remained faithful, she would not have had the affair(s). Was she supposed to do just sit there? She was only human with a healthy libido, trying to find what her husband denied her.

Re: can you people GET OVER IT?

Diana was secretly murdered by the British Government becuase she was starting to overtake the Queen's popularity as a figure head for the country, and the love of the nation.

When it comes to politics, we have the right to know....

Re: can you people GET OVER IT?

Oh, for Heaven's sake, GROW UP! No one murdered Diana. She was the victim of a drunk driving accident, plain and simple. No matter how much members of the royal family may have disliked her, they would not have murdered William and Harry's mother.

I couldn't stand my stepmother, but I never once considered murdering her. Not everything is a conspiracy theory. It's just hard to believe that larger-than-life individuals can die in ordinary ways, but it happens.

Re: can you people GET OVER IT?

She was the victim of a drunk driving accident, plain and simple.

Drunk Henri Paul was the immediate cause of the crash, but don't forget the pursuing paparazzi. Eyewitnesses claim the speeding Mercedes had pulled ahead of them by about a hundred yards, or so, but they did contribute to the crash.

Let's don't let those leeches off the hook.

Re: can you people GET OVER IT?

I do agree that the paparazzi contributed to her death, but I don't agree with other posters who've stated that Prince Phillip planned it, or this or that government agency was behind it. Diana was no threat to them. I've repeatedly heard that the Royals couldn't bear for a Muslim to be the stepfather of William and Harry, but there are a few things wrong with that:

1.) Despite Mohammed Al-Fayed's assertions, there is no real evidence that Diana planned to marry Dodi. All of her friends, including Rosa Monckton, to whom she had spoken the day before her death, said Diana considered it a "summer fling," nothing more.

2.) If they were worried about her marrying a Muslim, why didn't they kill Hasnat Khan? Unlike Dodi, he was a serious romance for Diana.

3.) Even if she had married a Mu b68 slim, why would the royal family care? The influence of ANY stepfather, Muslim or not, would have been negligible.

Re: can you people GET OVER IT?

Good points. I've always believed the crash was just a horrible, stupid car accident caused by bad human decisions. What a waste!

Re: can you people GET OVER IT?

It's hard to get over murder. Diana was murdered by the royal family that's not going to ever go away.

Re: can you people GET OVER IT?

I suppose you have some proof of this?

When I said I wanted to be a comedian, they all laughed at me. Well, they're not laughing now!
