The Curse of Oak Island : Product placement
Re: Product placement
I posted about this on Reddit last night. I think this is some foreshadowing. I'm guessing if this gets picked up for another season, which I see no reason why it wouldn't based on ratings, they're going to attempt to dam where the supposed flood tunnels are and see if they can pump the pits dry.
Re: Product placement
I should note they probably get some kickback or reduced costs for wearing these. Happen to notice Rick and Marty sporting shirts from their vineyard?
Re: Product placement
Noticed those shirts early this season, Marty's been wearing one almost every episode so far.
I figured it was their own company they were trying to plug

Re: Product placement
It the season's "pre show," they showed this large water bladder that they intended to use to block the ocean and drain Smith's cove. In one of the aerial shots near the end of last night's show (when they were dropping the long pipes into 10x), you could see Smith's cove in the background and there appeared to be an arc of white "portable" dams in place. Probably in an upcoming episode.
Re: Product placement
Welcome back! I know I'm not the only one on here who missed your posts, which always contained very useful information.
Keep up the good work!

Missed you too! Although Indont come here much. You're like the unofficial Oak Island Sleuth.
I wonder how much more money they have left (or want to spend) AND more importantly what the end game is?? I mean, after years of not finding anything how do they end this show without looking silly?
I'm sure they'll find a way to make all this seem worthwhile.
Wonder how much the History Channel is paying the production company?
As posted on another board there is a lot of money in conspiracy theories..look no further than Hunting Hitler (with Bob Baer), the recent ID Network's "Is OJ Innocent." Both started with a book that got developed into a show. Hmmmwhat can I do? JFK has been done too much..same with Bigfootmaybe I can write a book that The Zodiac is alive and was also D.B. Cooper

They find nothing and say, "That's Oak Island for ya!"
Re: Product placement
Indeed. And they'll end up devoting the rest of their lives to searching for the "treasure." Like Mr. Nolan. Sorta sad..
Product placement
Rick has been wearing a black baseball cap in the last couple of episodes with blue "splashes" on it. Didn't think much of it until Dan Blankenship wore the same cap in the latest episode.
Turns the caps are from a company out of Michigan called Dam-it Dams. They provide coffer dams aka portable water filled dams. Has the show ever had these portable dams featured previously or are the foreshadowing upcoming events?
