America was at its peak in the 50s. They'd come out of the Second World War as a super power and economically, times were very good.

Blacks knew their place, women were feminine housewives and mothers, gays didn't exist. TV was fast becoming a comfort and form of shared propaganda. Mad scientists were helping teenagers from 1985 get their parents to fall in love then sending them back to the future.

That is the America that conservatives want to return to.

Well guess what, that America isn't coming back and for a good reason: that America sucked. Society will continue to progress, life does not go backwards.

Not that I took this post seriously anyway - this is just one of the many posts that make me glad IMDB is shutting down their boards. IMDB has become a haven for trolls and senile old 85 year old white men to post their negativity because no one else wants to hear it.

IMBD should keep the boards active but make it inaccessible to any white male. The trolling will cease to exist.

Minus the 2008 collapse, it's worse over all. The country as a whole has sucked since around 2003, with some years better than others.
