Ali MacGraw : American Indian heritage?

A friend told me Ali has American Indian heritage. Is this true? Can't find it mentioned in any biography.

She's Jewish on her mother's side. Her father must have been irish or scottish extraction, although I'm not sure. She reminds me of Jennifer Connelly who's half jewish and Irish.
