Art LaFleur : Bowling Green State University

Bowling Green State University

Art is currently in Bowling Green Ohio right now for a film festival which he will be judging. I was able to sit and chat with him tonight and get some great advice.
Hes a great and very wise man.

Re: Bowling Green State University

Nice guy. He bought me coffee.

Re: Bowling Green State University

We brought Art in for the festival not knowing much about him except that we knew he was a great actor whose been in a whole lot of movies. We couldn't have been luckier when he got here and it turned out that he was quite possibly the nicest guy in the world. Anybody whoever gets a chance to meet him should count themselves lucky. Great guy. Great actor.

Re: Bowling Green State University

I agree. Great guy and it was sweet to be able to meet him and hear all of the advice that he was able to offer. I recommend to anyone organizing a film or theater event that they should try to get him as a guest speaker.

Re: Bowling Green State University

you all will probably not believe this but i know this guy personally. I played high school baseball with his son Joe from 2002-2004. He was the assistant coach for the JV squad for a couple of summers. He's one of the nicest guys ive ever met. Gave me rides home after virtually every practice. And its not that bad saying you had "Babe Ruth" from the sandlot as a baseball coach. He's a class act.

Re: Bowling Green State University

Wow, that's cool, he seems like an interesting person, and I like most of his movies (Trancers, Trancers 2, The Blob, Best of the Best 4, Hostage, Zone Troopers, etc. etc.)
How come he wasn't in any of the Trancers sequels?
Has/will he ever been in Europe (for a convention or anything public)?

He needs more recognizion for being such a cool guy.

Re: Bowling Green State University

I believe it. I am his niece. He is a great actor and a great uncle. :)

Re: Bowling Green State University

I have always thought he was Spencer Tracy's long lost son. Any chance?

Re: Bowling Green State University

I went to BGSU and was at the University Film Organization's (UFO) Film Festival and got to meet him. He was extremely friendly and thought it was hilarious when my friend Emily and I had him sign a picture of him with "Heroes get remembered, but legends never die," which was his line as The Babe in The Sandlot.
