6.5/10 9,627 votes, are you kidding me?

Not even 10k votes for a movie with such a nice cast. I just can't understand why it has such a view votes. The setting was just great and did not feel low budget or anything. The story was great, the acting was great, big names, weird that it's not popular.

An explanation is maybe, when it came out, Thor was at the cinemas and was quite big at the moment.

May be because it's not on everyone's radar? I didn't know it existed until I stumbled on it browsing through Netflix of all places.

-'Human intelligence' is an oxymoron-

Re: 6.5/10 9,627 votes, are you kidding me?

Probably because it's all been done before in other movies, hence the low rating.

Re: 6.5/10 9,627 votes, are you kidding me?

That makes zero sense. Do you realize how many ideas are rehashed and still get super-high marks?

Re: 6.5/10 9,627 votes, are you kidding me?

When its as painfully obvious as it is in this movie it does make sense. I liked the cast and the acting was decent but it seemed a bit cheesy at times by copying scenes from about 3 or 4 other movies.

Everything copies everything. Art copies art. It's all been done before.
Find me a movie from the 2010s and I'll list at least 10000000000 movies that it has copied.

Re: 6.5/10 9,627 votes, are you kidding me?

totally agree, nothing new with this movie and it seemed to put together a little choppy, Clive Owen just does not come across as powerful, it seemed weird, "We Own the Night" and "State of Grace" much better.

Re: 6.5/10 9,627 votes, are you kidding me?

Most movies that have high ratings are the ones with original stories and ideas. That seems to be the primary problem with horror or supernatural movies. They all have the same things happening in them. People appreciate originality. At least I know I do.

Re: 6.5/10 9,627 votes, are you kidding me?

This movie was nothing special at all, I'm not surprised that it went under the radar. 6/10.

As someone already said, We Own the Night and State of Grace are much better.
