Why did they turn Lucy into a complete psycho??

In the first film she seemed normal. Then this film she was completely off the charts. Complete opposite.

I just came onto the boards to see if anyone wrote about this! I agree like I understand once she fell in love with him women can change drastically (or men) but to me she was just unlikeable in it and too over the top

Complete contrast to her character in the first film. Bit too over the top.

The scene with the hoodie before Simon goes away for example.

You don't know many women do you?

I really didn't like it either. It makes me think of what they did with Katie Deauxma in Kick-Ass 2 :/
