Star Wars: Rebels : Season 3 Possibly the last

I kept wondering why we hadn't heard an official renewal for Rebels it seems likely that Season 3 might be the last. If you read this article it talks about how Filoni stepped away as show runner during Season 3 to work on future animated projects.

According to another post the dialogue for season 4 has already been recorded

I would be ok with it if things were properly concluded.

But I LOVE the idea of an anthology-esque approach to animated properties. To see 'Dark Disciple' adapted into an animated arc would be great. To see 'Lords of the Sith' as some kind of animated mini-series or animated feature would be pretty amazing.

I don't necessarily need 'we have to stick with these characters and this timeline for a few years before moving to something else'

We have 'Star Wars Story' films.why not give us an entire series full of anthology storytelling? Follow this arc for a few episodes, this arc for a few episodes, etc

Then the Blu Ray releases could collect the 'arcs' into mini-movies, as opposed to releasing them as traditional 'season'.

Not going to happen. Filoni has said the ultimate goal is to have multiple animated tv series airing at the same time, hence why he stepped up to oversee "multiple projects". Ending one to start another is the exact opposite of what he says they want to achieve.
